The family of the late David S. Broder, a Pulitzer prize-winning columnist for the Washington Post, has created the most amazing book of David’s “Beaver Island Columns.” Proceeds (100%) will benefit the Beaver Island Rural Health Center.
Not only is the book full of those wonderful columns that reflect the history of our nation and how our little Island coped with national issues, but it is also full of beautiful color photographs. It’s a book to cherish and will make a great addition to your Island book collection.
The book is $25, five for $100 and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Rural Health Center. It is now available at the Health Center, the Chamber office and a number of Island merchants.
The Health Center will be hosting a reception with the Broder family present on July 3, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the St. James Township Hall.
